Violin violin violin!

Am I blowing this whole thing out of proportion? Quite likely, but I've wanted to play the violin ever since I was a wee lass back in T.O., supremely jealous of my friend KT, whose school had string instruments, whereas mine only had winds.

This is awesome!

I fiddled around with violin in elementary school. And my daughter plays viola.

Well, I enjoyed my first lesson very much, given that I didn't really understand my instructor at all. Luckily, between what I had looked up on the internet and what I was able to puzzle out of the not-in-my-vocabulary Japanese, I was able to play "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" without disgracing myself too badly in front of one of my kindergarten kids who has been playing for two years ^_^
