I'm actually feeling much better (re: Four Day Hangover) this morning, though my stomach is still making occasional protests. No more beer, ever.

I have to leave for work in 8 minutes, and I would rather do anything but that. My [livejournal.com profile] sgarareathon story is at 96%, and will be posted this evening before I go to bed. I swear this on my life. My recipient is likely fuming at me, branding me irresponsible and preparing to excommunicate me from fandom, and [livejournal.com profile] rosewildeirish is probably doing something similar because I haven't commented on the fic she wrote me. But that's because I am punishing myself for being late with mine, so I haven't read it yet!

C'mon, Santa Maria. Just a quick note to say, "no, we aren't interested in you" would be enough. I'm going to apply to Berlitz tonight, too, I think.
Title: A Spot of Warmth
Author: skandrae
Fandom: Stargate: Atlantis
Rating: G (for "I'm so generic it's scary")
Rareathon Assignment: [livejournal.com profile] rosewildeirish who requested Zelenka (or Lorne), no sad endings, with exploration/discover as a theme
Spoilers: Through season 2, specifically Grace Under Pressure.
A/N: In addition to being late, this story was kind of like a car parked on a hill with no emergency brake - difficult to navigate. I'm not sure how it ended up where it did, but hope it fits the bill at least a little.

It's posted. And, unlike my usual post-posting entries where I demand that my loyal minions go and tell me what they think, I am going to say no more on the subject.

Except the stuff under this cut )
