Title: Persistent Ache

Recipient: [livejournal.com profile] selmak, who's been very gracious about how long this took
Rating: G-ish
Prompt(s): I tried for the first one, I really really did, but it refused to come together for me, so I went with the second - Elizabeth/Radek, with fluff and stuff. (Here's hoping that the first prompt, which still won't leave my brain alone, will allow me to write it soon ^_^)

Am meeting Internet Guy at Ikebukuro Station at 12:45, after a brief chat on Messenger. He has to be back to Omiya around 5, so we will spend a little time at the aquarium, getting to know each other, I guess. So full of nausea...

When is the appropriate time to admit that I can't stand talking on the telephone? Five summers of call centre work at the Festival have turned me off telephones, with the exception of calling my mom and occasionally having hours-long gabfests with my gals. I think that's part of why I was so freaked out about the whole "waiting for him to call" thing...I sound like a moron on the phone a lot of the time, because I'm totally uncomfortable.

Oh god, why was I born so socially retarded?
So, uh, I'm experiencing Day One of what promises to be a 3 or 4 Day Hangover, and it's not pleasant. Last night was the first time I've been sick from drinking in years (the time before that was back at the beginning of my third year of uni, and involved alcohol and ... other things), and it was just as unpleasant as I remembered. Luckily, I was able to get Waka to pull the car over in time, so I did not disgrace myself utterly. I probably would have been fine if she had just taken me home, instead of driving all over town first.

Now, I was drinking because we had a work party after the induction ceremony. I hadn't had breakfast, lunch was two rice balls and a sad, soggy fried shrimp, and then I ate some salad and slices of raw fish while the drinking got under way. My poor liver didn't have a chance.

Sean was on medication, so he wasn't allowed to drink, so people kept pouring me his beers. There's this rule that you have to take a sip of your drink so the person can top it up, but the bigger the sip you take, the more respect you have for that person. And the bus drivers, who were sharing our table, wouldn't accept anything except chugging what you had before they poured.

I hate beer so very much. I also hate that this is my one day off this week, and I have spent most of it in bed, in the dark, trying not to die. And I totally had stuff I planned to do today, too.
I am a tool. I got confused by what day it was, and managed to miss last night's deadline for the first part of the [livejournal.com profile] stagesoflove challenge. I've left a comment on the entry prompting for part 2, but I may be out of luck. That's super irritating, since I wrote them both while I was in Kingston, and they're just sitting in my LJ, waiting.

I shouldn't have gone to bed so early, I guess.

Did not manage to convince mom to pay for pants, so I am going to be a bit hungry at the end of the month...sigh~~

Am going to work on my Rareathon and B-Movie fics now, since the deadline is swiftly approaching. Grrrr.

[EDIT - 1:45] [livejournal.com profile] animadri was merciful, so I present to you Focus (for the Five Senses challenge) and Blush (for the Five Stages of Sexual Response). Keeping in mind that I am both rushed and flustered, go forth and tell me what you think. I'm tough, I can take it...before running away and crying like a baby...
